You chose a tower/house.
One of the most frustrating things about making art on the regular is figuring out exactly how to be regular about it. To see some type of building in the clearing—whether it’s a tower, house, or something even grander—represents the structure you need to build in order to get all your ideas out into the world.
Some ideas to help get you started:
- Go back to the clearing. Close your eyes and bring up the image of that tower/house. Write down any details you can remember. Is it stable or dilapidated? Sinister or comforting? What do those details tell you about the type of structure you need to build around your process?
- Check out my Loose Guide to Getting Things Done as a resource to building a life-friendly structure that works for you.
And if you’re ready to take it a step further, unearthing structures that are both pragmatic and fun is totally my jam. Remember, everything you want to build has to start with a firm foundation, especially something as dreamy and fickle as art.
